JBL Tour Pro 2 official: comes with smart charging case
JBL is a well-known name in the field of audio equipment. You can go there for headphones, speakers, soundbars and wireless earplugs. The JBL Tour Pro 2 has now been presented in the latter category, with the smart box being unique.
The case naturally contains a built-in battery, with which you can fully charge the earbuds up to four times. This way you can enjoy your favorite music for up to 50 hours. If you switch on active noise suppression, this will decrease to 30 hours. They are not completely waterproof, but they will survive a rain shower or some sweat during a workout. You can also set the caps separately from each other; nice if your hearing is not quite the same in both ears.
Box has a 1.45 inch touchscreen
However, the most notable feature can be found on the outside of the charging case. It has a touch-sensitive display of 1.45 inches. So you don’t always have to reach for your phone, but you can easily and quickly control your music. Fast forward, skip or pause a song is no problem at all.
You also receive notifications of incoming calls or messages and social media notifications come in immediately. There are also some backgrounds to set and you can also visually display the equalizer.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a second display on the outside of 1.9 inches. You also use it for notifications and simple actions. In practice, that works fine, so we are curious about how JBL will work out.
Price and availability
The manufacturer has announced that the new earbuds will be available from January 2023. The JBL Tour 2 Pro come on the market in black and champagne and have a suggested retail price of 299 euros.
