In the 14th Saeima elections, 23,658 people, or 4.19% of eligible voters, cast their votes in the Riga electoral district in three days. In Vidzeme, 19,563 people or 4.94% of eligible voters voted, in Kurzeme – 6682 voters or 3.71%, in Latgale 7138 people or 3.66%, while in Zemgale 6301 people or 3.06% of eligible voters voted.

On all three days of voting, the most active voters were in Valkas county – 8.91%, in Saulkrasti county, where 8.62% of voters registered in the county took part in voting, in Ādaži county – 7.66%, – and in Varakļani county – 6.61%.

In Riga, the polling station of the 1st Gymnasium of Riga State and the voting place set up in the shopping center “Domina Shopping” were the most visited, while the least number of people – 409 – came to vote in the new elementary school of Riga Bolderāja, according to CVK data.

As reported, early voting in the 14th Saeima elections began on Monday in 66 polling stations and it was possible to put the vote in storage even before the official voting day, which will be on Saturday.

Advance voting has now closed. Tomorrow, Saturday, October 1, will be the official day of the Saeima elections, when voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
