During the past curfew, police officers checked a total of almost 4,000 people across the country. The overwhelming majority of those checked were filled in the certificates of justified withdrawal from the place of residence, according to the State Police.

The curfew is in effect in our country until November 15 from eight in the evening to five in the morning, and a written confirmation of a reasonable exit to the street was demonstrated last night 3 672 people of the verified 3,986 people.

For non-compliance with the restrictions that night, the police initiated a 158 administrative cases issued 208 warnings. Wherein in 19 cases the question of initiating an administrative process will still be decided. Law enforcement officers conducted explanatory conversations with most of the violators of the curfew.

The patrols and checks on the roads were carried out by the State Police officers in cooperation with the Municipal Police, the State Border Guard Service employees and land guards.

The State Police reminds residents of Latvia that from 20:00 to 5:00 in the morning from October 21 to November 15, it is necessary to stay at home and leave it only when absolutely necessary or to perform official duties. At the same time, be sure to have a completed the confirmation.
