Duma Committee approved a bill to ban street sound advertising

On Wednesday, the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship recommended that the lower house of parliament adopt in the first reading a bill banning the distribution of sound advertising using sound equipment in residential buildings.

The document has been submitted for consideration by the Duma of the Astrakhan region, reports TASS.

To attract more consumers, advertisers often use sound amplifying equipmentthat works continuously, repeating itself over and over.

Astrakhan deputies noted that, becoming intrusive, advertising has a negative impact on working conditions and leisure of citizens.

Despite the fact that the level of noise from sound advertising does not violate the current sanitary standards, the constant repetition of the same information throughout the day negatively affects the vital activity of citizens.
