Duh, after recovering from Covid-19, children still experience headaches and foggy brains

Suara.com – The number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia has continued to increase recently. In fact, some of them are also declared dead.

Although recovered, the child who had tested positive for Covid-19 is reportedly still experiencing complaints. In addition to complaints of MISC (multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children), experts also see children who suffer from mild Covid experiencing delayed recovery.

Reporting from Healthshot, Dr Rahul Nagpal, Director, Pediatrics, Fortis Vasant Kunj Hospital said that fortunately, the children did not get very severe Covid.

He explained that after recovering from Covid-19, they still saw the presence of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children. It occurs in one to two percent of cases, but it is also a very large number.

“With medication and proper identification, this disease can be cured. Then many patients have diarrhea, fatigue, aches, digestive disorders,” he said.

The senior doctor said that some teenagers come with headaches, which may be the beginning of the migraine in them. But it needs to be studied further.

Dr Shuchin Bajaj, Founder-Director, Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals, says children face the problem of brain fog and cannot remember what they learn.

“They don’t have much energy left, stressed, anxious. Parents may confuse brain fogging with kids trying to make excuses not to study or attend online classes but this is a real symptom,” he said.
