Due to the drought the danger of wildfires, tomorrow possible local storms

According to the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia, the heat load will still be high in the middle of the day and in the afternoon, and in the coming days the heat will decrease slightly.

This year’s first heat wave, in addition to high temperatures and high heat loads, also brought the danger of wildfires.

According to the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief, several days of dry and occasional windy weather and high temperatures have dried up low vegetation and topsoils in many parts of the country.

This creates favorable conditions for the occurrence of wildfires, which is reflected in the increased number of detected fires and firefighting interventions. Therefore, the administration drew attention to the caution and strict observance of fire protection measures in the natural environment when burning and other uses of open fire.

They also warned against banning the dumping of cigarette butts and other flammable substances, as these can also cause fires in the current situation. The heat will subside a bit in the coming days, they wrote on Ars.

The cloud of desert dust from the Sahara will finally recede on Friday.

Today the weather will be mostly clear, during the day the southwest wind will blow. Towards evening, a storm is possible, especially in the mountain world. The highest daily temperatures will be from 29 to 34, in the southeast to 36 degrees Celsius.

On Friday, the weather will be mostly sunny, in the afternoon and evening there will be local storms, especially in the northeast of the country. The lowest morning temperatures will be from 16 to 21, and the highest daily from 26 to 32 degrees, states Arso.

On Saturday it will be mostly clear in the Primorska region, previously a weak bora will blow. Elsewhere, it will be moderate to mostly cloudy at first, during the day it will clear up. Especially in the hills of northern Slovenia, a shower or storm will be possible.
