Dreame L10 Pro in the test: Cleans carefully and thoroughly

The start-up Dreame, founded in 2017, specializes in smart cleaning devices. And step on the gas: on October 20, Dreame received around 485 million euros in C-series financing – and one on October 28 in Shanghai Partnership with Borussia Dortmund signed.

CEO Hao Yu emphasizes to connect: “Germany has always been a very important market for Dreame, and last year Dreame has grown very quickly on the German market. Our products are available through Amazon, Medimax and Kaufland. To better address German customers , we also actively listen to the voice of German customers, collect opinions and suggestions and use technology to continue to offer a better experience. “

The next step will be to launch its own Dreamehome app on the local market. Dreame is currently cooperating with Xiaomi and using their app to control the L10 Pro. Although the translation is a bit bumpy at times, it is easy to use.

Room cards allow targeted cleaning

On its first tour, the vacuum cleaner measures the living space with a laser-supported LiDAR system and creates a room map. With the help of these, you can now selectively control rooms or have the entire apartment cleaned. If you have several floors, you can manage and edit up to three cards. No-go areas can also be defined in the app.

3-D laser navigation ensures safety

A special feature is the 3-D obstacle detection: Thanks to the two lasers in the front part of the L10 Pro, the vacuum cleaner detects objects or pets and drives around them – which worked very well in the test. You don’t have to be afraid that the vacuum cleaner will get tangled in cables and possibly cause damage. The L10 Pro is generally very careful when cleaning. He doesn’t bump into furniture, he goes to work very carefully even between chair legs and always brakes in good time. In complexly furnished scenarios, he dances elegantly across the parquet and explores his possibilities. He reliably detects tight spots and does not stubbornly try to squeeze himself under a shelf.

Because of the caution, he sometimes skips a spot. On the other hand, the L10 Pro didn’t get stuck once in our tests. He climbs carpets or edges with a height of up to 2 centimeters without any problems, even a light bathroom mat was not a problem (which other vacuum cleaners like to crumple up and then quit work).

With the microfibre cloth attached, the L10 Pro also wipes with a damp cloth.

High suction power, long running time

The maximum suction force is very high at 4000 pA and can be adjusted in several stages, as can the water flow with the wiping function. The water tank holds 270 ml, the dust container 570 ml – that’s a lot. After the work was done, the L10 Pro always found its way back to the charging station independently in the test. The battery is also sufficient for large areas: We tested on around 100 square meters, and the L10 Pro still showed well over 80 percent energy level in standard mode.

As with all vacuum robots, there is no avoiding a little extra work: You should regularly wipe the sensors and remove hair from the floor brush if necessary. Dreame promises that a row of teeth in the brush module will untangle the hair during cleaning. With long hair, however, this does not work convincingly: As with every vacuum cleaner so far, you have to remove the brush and remove the shag yourself.

Dreame Z10 Pro with suction station

If you want to treat yourself to more comfort, you can choose the Z10 Pro with suction station. The 50 centimeter high tower has a bag that is familiar from conventional vacuum cleaners. When the robot drives home, not only is the battery charged, but also its dust container is automatically vacuumed empty; the dirt ends up in said bag. When it is full at some point, it can be easily removed and disposed of. A clean affair!
