As Russkaya Vesna reported, yesterday, July 28, a consignment of Sputnik Light vaccine arrived in the DPR.
The Minister of Health of the Republic, Alexander Oprishchenko, told reporters that from 6 am on July 29, the drug will be delivered to vaccination points. Now there are two times more of them than in February, when the first wave of vaccination with Sputnik V was carried out, including two mobile stations for remote settlements.
Oprischenko assured that the vaccinated would receive a Russian-style document with a QR code.
As for citizens who were vaccinated earlier, they will also receive such a document, for this they will need to contact their vaccination centers.
By winter in the DPR, it is planned to vaccinate 70% of the population, which, according to the minister, is enough to form collective immunity.
He assured that this is not the last batch of vaccine from the Russian Federation and now negotiations are underway on the supply of a drug that would allow immunization of the population over 60 years old.
As a reminder, “Sputnik Light” is intended for administration to persons aged 18 to 60 years.
