DMI: Enjoy the good weather while you can

The beautiful spring weather in Denmark looks set to continue next week, which is expected to offer both warm temperatures and plenty of sun.

This is the uplifting message from Lars Henriksen, meteorologist on duty at the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), early Monday morning.

»If we start today – 2nd Easter day – then it looks really nice in most places with dry and mostly sunny weather. In eastern Denmark, it may at times be a little more cloudy, but it will still be dry, “says Lars Henriksen.

The temperature on Monday will be between 12-17 degrees, while on coasts with onshore winds it will be less warm with between eight to ten degrees.

The wind becomes weak to even from changing directions.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will not be much different with continued fine weather and similar temperatures.

“It generally looks like it will be days with mostly sunny and warm weather. Especially in the western half of the country it is getting good. It will be cooler in the eastern parts of the country, because we get the wind in from the east, so there will be onshore winds here, “says Lars Henriksen.

He adds that during the days there may be some clouds here and there, but that it is difficult to predict where it will be.

Friday, the wind begins to freshen up from an easterly direction. This means that the temperature drops a bit to between 10 and 15 degrees, while it also becomes more uncertain how much sun is coming.

“We expect the wind to be fresh to strong in some places. There will also be a few more clouds, but there will still be periods of sunshine, “says Lars Henriksen.

He adds that the slightly more erratic weather is expected to linger over the weekend. That’s why it’s just about getting out and enjoying the good spring weather while it’s here.
