Direct transmission of 3D information thanks to the new BricsCAD plugin

Softwaroví inženýři PointCabu introduced another plugin that makes it easy to model point clouds. In addition to its existing plugins for Revit and Archicad, PointCab has released its “4Brics Plugin” for the BricsCAD CAD software, which has recently gained popularity. Thanks to the plugin, users of PointCab Origins software can now transfer all important 3D information from the point cloud to BricsCAD in real time.

Time-consuming data import and export is obsolete. The user simply clicks on 3D points in the Origins layout or in panoramic views, and the plugin automatically creates lines, circles, or rectangles in BricsCAD at the correct position in the model. The same goes for digital terrain and surface models. As a special solution, the engineers also implemented the “Multilines” tool and several functions that allow the user to share their drawings with other CAD software. Using the “Multilines” tool, the user can create several separate lines without interruption, which would not normally be possible in BricsCAD. With “UCS to WCS” and “Flatten”, drawings created in BricsCAD can now be quickly transformed in a way that allows other software, such as Revit or Archicad, to read and display data.
More information about the new BricsCAD plugin can be found at webových stránkách PointCabu or in this 10 minute introductory video.
