The holiday vouchers that should have been issued this year will be issued in 2022, Prime Minister Florin Cîţu said on Wednesday, announcing that an emergency ordinance on a series of structural measures was discussed in the Government at first reading.
“Besides the fact that they are seen as an increase, not, additional income, in Romania, today, the holiday vouchers issued in 2019 and those from 2020 have been extended, which means that in the economy they are worth almost 2.4 billion of lei holiday vouchers that were not used. You know very well, on the one hand, the industry tells us that last year it was closed, so holiday vouchers could not be used, on the other hand, it is needed, so we allowed them to be used this year, already 2.4 billion holiday vouchers are in circulation. Therefore, the holiday vouchers that should have been issued this year will be issued next year and we have this savings in the budget “, said Cîţu, in a conference at Victoria Palace.
