One of the tools that helps the homeroom teacher to quickly diagnose overwork and other difficulties in a child, and also offers solutions on how to prevent them, is the digital support tool “EMU: Skola”.

Educational workers and experts assess it ambiguously, pointing out problematic points, however, the head of the “Plecs” (“Shoulder”) fund Janis Erts emphasizes that the tool, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science, has been tested in practice, and the security of personal data is also respected.

About 5,000 children from 15 schools took part in the pilot project, and 30 class teachers admitted that without EMU they would not have noticed the difficulties in children.

It turned out that in each school, about 30% of schoolchildren experience emotional stress, and many of them remain out of sight of teachers.

Currently, this tool is used in 62 schools, 40 more will join them in January, and at the beginning of the next academic year there may be 150 of them, Erts predicts.
