The Dictionary of the Internet and Digital Communication (English-Serbian), by Lazar Bošković, Creative Director of AgitPROP and Digital Communication Advisor, has recently become available to the public.
The dictionary is available for free in three forms: a 240-page book, a digital publication to download and upload, and a website with over 1,000 web pages at https://recnikinterneta.rs/. The dictionary is a gift from the mCloud hosting company to the Serbian internet community, from which it originated. Reviewers of the dictionary are: prof. Dr. Božidar Radenković, professor at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade, Dr. Dejan Ajdačić, from the Faculty of Philology in Gdańsk and Vojislav Žanetić, lecturer at the Faculty of Media and Communications in Belgrade.
It contains over 1000 digital terms for modern networked life, and the topics represented in the dictionary include the basics of all important areas of the modern Internet, and they are:
- Technology (devices, programs, networks, standards, services, security ();
- Content (text, image, audio, video ();
- Law (domains, intellectual property, cybercrime;);
- Economics (e-business, online payments, digital transformation ();
- Society (identity, privacy, letter, education ();
- Communication (business communication, digital marketing, online communities ().
On the Dictionary website, the mentioned topics are structured in over 20 categories of terms. You can also list all English terms by initials, as well as view synonyms and related terms.
