DFSK Attends First Mediation of Consumer Lawsuit for Glory 580 Case

DAPURPACU – A further trial regarding consumer lawsuits on the DFSK Glory 580 model line was held again this morning, in Mediation Room 1, South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (17/2).

Led by Judge Sri Wahyuningsih, the trial this time entered the mediation stage with a duration of 30 minutes, starting at 10.30 – 11.00 WIB.

The presence of DFSK on the mediation agenda this time is a form of commitment to follow the current legal process and a form of listening to the aspirations of consumers.

The mediation agenda which took place for the first time was attended by all the plaintiffs and defendants. The DFSK was represented by the Legal Manager of PT Sokonindo Automobile, Prastiwi Witasari, and was accompanied by Legal Counsel Heribertus S. Hartojo.

PR & Media Manager of PT Sokonindo Automobile, Achmad Rofiqi, explained that at this mediation session, his party listened to the plaintiff’s request where they wanted material and immaterial compensation to DFSK as the manufacturer.

“We have heard the request for compensation and will discuss it further and will receive a response next week as part of the mediation process,” explained Rofiqi, in an official broadcast.

For information, the provisions regarding mediation in trials have been regulated in the Supreme Court Regulation Number 1 of 2016 concerning Mediation Procedures in Courts.

In Article 3 Paragraph 6, it is stated that the mediation process will be carried out no later than 30 days from the receipt of the notification of the interim judgment of the High Court. So that during this break, DFSK will try to come up with answers that are expected to satisfy all parties.

Behind that, continued Rofiqi, DFSK still has good faith by following the mediation process and hopes that it can be resolved through this mediation stage.

“However, these consumers are part of the DFSK family and we hope this mediation stage will go well,” he added.
