Dell updates XPS 13 Plus with Intel Core i7-1360P processor from the Raptor Lake series

Dell has updated its XPS 13 Plus compact laptop. The 2023 model retains the similarities and features of the previous generation model, including a row of touch buttons, a flat keyboard, and a hidden touchpad, but it gets a new 12-core Intel Core i7-1360P processor from the Raptor Lake series. The chip operates at frequencies up to 5.0 GHz.

The updated Dell XPS 13 Plus laptop model offers 16 or 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 2 TB SSD and can be equipped with one of several options for a 13.4-inch display: IPS screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels (touch or no) and a brightness of 500 cd/m²IPS touch display with a resolution of 3840 × 2400 pixels and a brightness of 500 cd/m² or OLED touch screen with a resolution of 3456 × 2160 pixels and a brightness of 400 cd/m².

The novelty is offered in several configurations, but all use the Core i7-1360P processor. The most affordable configuration, which features an FHD+ IPS display, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, is priced at $1,399, slightly less than last year’s most affordable version of the XPS 13 Plus based on the Alder Lake generation Core i7-1280P.

The Dell XPS 13 Plus 2023 external connector kit only includes two Thunderbolt 4 interfaces (USB-C with alternative DisplayPort and charging functions). For autonomous operation, the device uses a 55 Wh battery. In the package, the manufacturer provided adapters from USB-C to USB-A 3.0 and from USB-C to 3.5 mm audio output.
