REGION – Happy employees and a healthy working atmosphere are something that Degordian invests in since the time when they were a startup with only a few employees, and it has not changed even today when that number exceeds 120 people in 4 offices. Employees are given the opportunity to develop into better experts and better people, and if they are happy at work, they are more likely to be engaged and loyal to the company.
The fact that Degordian was chosen as the Best Employer six times proves how much effort such efforts gave. They went a step further and, in cooperation with psychologists, developed their own tool that analyzes employee satisfaction and engagement in detail — Stethoscope. Based on the obtained results, management and HR, in cooperation with sector leaders, devise effective plans for improvement and systematically work on those points that are rated worse.
Transparent results
They decided for the first time to publicly announce the results of their annual satisfaction survey, and the reason for this is simple — so that all potential employees could see what it’s really like to work at Degordian, i.e., how much and what their employees are satisfied with, and thus attract potential employees who would be a cultural fit.
“We want to attract people who are a good fit for us, that is, those who fit our culture, but also those who fit our culture. After all, we spend even half of the day at work. Our goal is not for our employees’ work to be just a place where they earn a living, but a place where they feel comfortable, develop and are fulfilled. That’s why we want to communicate openly — what it’s like to work with us”, emphasizes Antea Britvić Božičković, Human Resources Director.
Above the industry and market average
The results showed that Degordian employees are above average in terms of satisfaction in all categories.
Namely, when analyzing the results, Stethoscope offers the option of comparing the results of the company with the market and the industry in which it is located. In the case of Degordian, a comparison was obtained with the Croatian market (turquoise line), while the industry in which they operate and with which they are compared is Marketing & IT (blue line). The categories that were assessed were autonomy, cooperation, communication, engagement, innovation and change, agency leadership, learning and development, loyalty, vision, work organization, work-life balance and working conditions.
Filling in the questionnaire is completely anonymous, therefore the total results are presented at the level of the entire company.
