Declining infection rates for the second day in a row

Another 544 people have tested positive with covid-19 in the past 24 hours, the Statens Serum Institut informs on Sunday. The infected have been found on the basis of 33,392 PCR samples, where one is vaccinated for coronavirus in the throat.

This is the second day in a row with declining infection rates. On Friday, the number of infected reached 670. But it dropped to 618 on Saturday.

The number of inpatients has increased by six people to 83. The 15 of them are admitted to intensive care units, and 11 of them are helped by a respirator to breathe.

No new corona-related deaths have been recorded in Sunday’s inventory.

In the last 24 hours, there have also been answers to 12,047 lightning tests. The public lightning test centers closed on Saturday, after which they are referred to take a PCR test.

PCR testing is also considered more reliable than lightning testing. For the same reason, lightning tests are not included in the daily infection rates.

In the last 24 hours, 2633 citizens have received a third vaccine sting against covid-19. It is an offer that applies to, among other things, nursing home residents and people over the age of 85.

In total, 109,972 citizens – equivalent to 1.9 percent of the population – have received a third vaccine injection.

Another 1677 people have received another vaccine sting and are considered fully vaccinated. That equates to 74.8 percent of the population.
