Until January 25, there is a curfew in Latvia, which means a ban on movement without a serious reason from 22:00 to 05:00 on the night of Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday. In Daugavpils, the local government police registered 63 cases of movement of citizens during the curfew. Moreover, in 22 cases, the decision to bring violators to administrative responsibility was made right on the spot.
It is worth noting that the residents of Daugavpil are generally quite responsible for the observance of the curfew requirements. At least, no serious violations of order and aggressive behavior towards law enforcement officers, as was recorded in other local governments of Latvia, have not been recorded in our city.
For example, in Bauska, a young woman, violating curfew conditions, managed to earn two maximum fines in one night, 2,000 euros each.
