Data Integration, the Government’s Way to Ensure the Covid-19 Vaccine is Right on Target

Suara.com – The Indonesian government is preparing a mass Corona virus vaccination program. One of the steps taken is by integrating data on Covid-19 vaccine recipients.

For this reason, the government has appointed two state-owned enterprises, namely PT Telekomunisasi Indonesia and PT Bio Farma to organize a One Data Vaccination Information System for COVID-19.

This data integration system will generate data in the form of name by address from various sources in order to avoid multiple target data. From this data, the government then maps and distributes vaccines based on vaccine needs per district / city.

Its implementation refers to the Joint Decree of the Minister of Health and the Minister of Communication and Information on the Implementation of the One Data Vaccination Information System One Data Vaccination for Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) which was signed on Tuesday (12/1) at the Ministry of Health Office, Jakarta.

The SKB was signed by the Minister of Health and the Minister of Communication and Information Technology. Also attending were the Deputy Minister of Health, senior and junior high officials at the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the President Director of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, the Director of PT Bio Farma and representatives from BPJS Kesehatan.

The Minister of Communication and Informatics, Jhony G. Plate said that the signing of the SKB is a legal basis to guarantee and ensure the protection of the personal data of vaccination recipients and to support the implementation of vaccination smoothly and on target.

“Together we hope that the inaugural vaccination program will run smoothly,” he said.

The first phase of the vaccination program is scheduled to start injecting on Wednesday (13/1). As an initial stage of vaccination preparation, the government has validated the data by sending SMS Blast of vaccination invitations to 1.3 million priority groups of vaccination recipients, namely health workers and health support personnel in 34 provinces in Indonesia, starting from January 12-13, 2021.

“Starting today and even tomorrow SMS Blast will be carried out to reach health workers who will soon follow the vaccination process,” he added.

After receiving notification / notification, the target is then asked to re-register and perform verification to ensure data conformity. The targets can also double-check their data through the PeduliL Protect application.
