Crossover Skoda Karoq will be updated at the end of this month – DRIVE

All optics of the compact crossover have been redesigned. The radiator grille has increased in width and acquired a pronounced hexagonal shape in the style of the younger and older brothers – the new Kushaq model and the recently updated Kodiaq SUV.

The Skoda Karoq model, which appeared in 2017, has waited for a planned restyling. The SUV will be presented online on November 30, while the company has shown sketches on the Web that reveal the main changes in the car’s appearance. Among the main ones are narrower headlights with redesigned navigation lights (now each consists of two sections), a modified grille with double vertical slats and a front bumper with an increased air intake. The lower section of the head light (fog lights or LED block) has also been changed.

At the rear, the bumper with a black diffuser and lights have changed. The latter have become narrower and slightly more compact than the previous ones (look at the side sections), which visually emphasizes the width of the body. The spoiler is lengthened.

Skoda did not go into technical details, but new teasers and some details are likely to follow by the end of the month. Along with the changes in appearance, we are waiting for adjustments in the interior and equipment. And on the horizon, another Skoda model is already visible. In an interview with Autocar India, the head of Skoda Thomas Schaefer mentioned the development of the smallest SUV of the brand up to four meters long, that is, less than the Kushaq (4221 mm). The subcompact is conceived for India in the first place, but it will have export prospects to other markets. It can be predicted that the budget car will receive the MQB-A0-IN platform, as well as naturally aspirated and supercharged 1.0 MPI and 1.0 TSI engines.
