In the last 24 hours, Angolan authorities have notified 82 more cases of covid-19, two deaths and 119 recovered patients, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health.
The new cases were diagnosed in people aged 8 months to 75 years, in the provinces of Luanda (52), Moxico (19), Zaire (five), Bié (four), Benguela and Uíje (three each), Lunda Norte ( two), Lunda Sul, Cuando Cubango and Cabinda (one each).
Of the 82 new cases, 33 are male and 49 female.
A man and a woman, both aged 77, died of the disease, in addition to the 119 considered recovered, aged between 21 and 51 years.
Angola counts, since the beginning of the pandemic, 18,425 confirmed cases of the disease, of which 2,370 are active, with 10 in critical condition and eight serious, 424 deaths and 15,631 recovered.
1,281 samples were processed by RT-PCR, of which 75 were positive, and 62 samples by rapid diagnostic tests (antigen), with seven positive results.
The cumulative of processed samples amounts to 327,046, with a positivity rate of 5.6%.
