The Directorate-General for Health released the latest data on the epidemiological situation of the new coronavirus pandemic in Portugal.

In the past 24 hours, 76 more people have died from the covid-19. The figures revealed this Saturday bring to 15,897 the number of deaths registered in Portugal due to the pandemic.

There are also 1,570 new cases of infection with the new coronavirus in the last 24 hours. Altogether, there are 796,337 cases in Portugal.

In the last 24 hours, 5,050 people have also recovered (there are now 696,916).

There are fewer 3,556 active cases (83,526 currently).


3,284 people are hospitalized (a reduction of 300 in the ward), 656 of them in intensive care units (minus 13 in the ICU).
