Court prohibits disruptive strikes at PostNL

The court has ruled that FNV may not organize collective actions until 6 January that do not take into account the preconditions set by PostNL. This ruling prevents actions that could lead to disruption of essential services, such as medical shipments and funeral mail, and unsafe situations for employees.

FNV wanted to organize strikes this weekend, but will not take any action. Campaigning during one of the busiest periods of the year entails disproportionate damage and risks.

This week the peak season starts with Black Friday, followed later by Sinterklaas and Christmas. PostNL is taking extra operational measures to still limit the impact of any actions.

PostNL will continue to talk to FNV and CNV about new collective labor agreements for PostNL and for Saturday deliverers.
