The cotton owl is an extremely dangerous pest because it feeds on a large number of plant species. At this moment, the most endangered are the crops of sweet corn, green beans and soybeans, as well as the crops of peppers, tomatoes, cabbage and other vegetables.

Producers are recommended to inspect the crops for the presence of cotton owl eggs and after confirming the presence of any of the registered insecticides.
