The government has the capacity to keep at least 14 to 15 crore doses of corona vaccine in the country. If 4-5 crore vaccines are available, there will be no problem in applying them properly. Already 42,000 health workers are being trained for vaccination. The first batch of vaccines produced at the Seram Institute of India is expected to arrive on January 25-26. If all goes well, vaccination will begin in the first week of February.

Arrangements have been made to keep about 4 lakh 25 thousand doses of vaccine in the cold room stored in each district level hospital. In addition, each hospital has 5-10 ice freezers where at least 61,000 doses of vaccine can be kept. Initially, 6,344 teams across the country have been involved in vaccination. Each team will have 6 health workers.

Besides, about 42,000 health workers are being trained to provide vaccines. Zahid Malek also mentioned that an app related to vaccine delivery is in the final stages of development through the Ministry of ICT. Once the vaccination is officially launched, the country’s largest privately-owned companies will be able to provide the vaccine conditionally.
