The Rath Yatra was not allowed by the government due to corona infection, so the event was not organized on a large scale. Following the tradition, this time Rath Yatra was taken out around the temple premises. Devotees participated in the Rath Yatra and pulled the strings of the chariot with the cheers of Lord Jagannath. Every year Jagannath Rath Yatra Festival is celebrated with pomp in the capital. On this occasion, Rath Yatra is taken out in the new and old city. This time too, the preparations for the Rath Yatra were going on in the temples, but the government did not give permission so that there is no crowd, so a symbolic yatra was taken out by the temple committees following the guidelines of the government. Before this, the deities of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, Subhadra were worshiped in the temples. He was placed in a chariot. After this the tradition was maintained by taking out Rath Yatra in and around the temple premises.

Morning worship was performed at Jagdish Swamy Temple located at Kiol Park, after which the deity was taken out of the sanctum sanctorum and placed on the chariot. The deities of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra were seated on a chariot decorated with flowers. On this occasion, saints and devotees performed devotional dance in the temple premises. Acharya Gangaprasad Shastri, associated with the temple, told that after touring around the temple, the Lord was seated in the Hanuman temple located in the temple premises in the night itself, from where on Tuesday the Lord would be seated on the original seat with singing. Mahant Jagdishdas, Kailashdas Pandababa and many sages and saints were present on this occasion.

Yatra also taken out in Kanha Kunj
Jagannath Rath Yatra was also taken out in a symbolic way this time from Kanha Kunj on Kolar Road. On this occasion special prayers were offered to the deity. Acharya Dhruvanarayana Shastri of Shiv Kalika Jagannath Temple said that permission has not been received from the administration. Therefore, the tradition was maintained by taking out the Rath Yatra around the temple premises.

Worship at Banke Bihari Temple
The Rath Yatra festival was also organized with great pomp at the Banke Bihari Markandeya temple. On this occasion, darshan and aarti of the Lord took place at 12 noon. Dal, rice, baati, malpua, jalebi, revdi were offered. This was followed by the sankirtana of Hare Rama, Hare Krishna.
