BIJELJINA – At the beginning of the corn harvest in Semberija, the yield is expected to be slightly higher than the multi-year average in the Republic of Srpska, said Srna Dragan Zarić, head of the Bijeljina regional unit of the Department of the Government of Srpska for the provision of professional services in agriculture.

Zarić reminded that more than 26,000 hectares are under corn in Semberija, and the production was followed by two dry periods in July and August.
“However, we consider this year somewhat more favorable for corn than last year, when we had a yield reduction of 30, somewhere even 50 percent.Zarić said.
