Dizdar said the following in his award ceremony speech:

“The character of Nuray, whom I portrayed in the movie, is a woman who struggles for what she believes in and for her existence, and who has to pay a price for this cause. I would like to work long and hard to get to know and understand him. But unfortunately, being a woman in the geography I live requires knowing the feelings of Nuray and Nurays by heart since the day I was born.
