On Friday, May 13, 2022 at the club Anti Shop Elektropionir Novi Sad stoner heavy rock band will perform Northern Revival who will share the stage with his Belgrade colleagues Stainwhose music is characterized by heavy metal, sludge, grunge, stoner and progressive rock.
Northern Revival was founded in October 2012, and the concerts started in 2014. They are followed by over 140 performances throughout Serbia, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
They have played at numerous festivals in the region: Exit Festival, TLO Fest, Alparfeszt (HU), Barock Fest (RO), Gugulan Rock Festival (RO), Kunigunda Festival (SLO), Metal Enduro (RO), Boureque Feszt (HU), Naša Stvar (BiH), United Metal Festival, Serbian Underground Festival, etc. They shared the stages with famous bands from their genre: Sasquatch (USA), Bongzilla (USA), Planet Of Zeus (Greece), Greenleaf (Sweden), Dopethrone (Canada), Nightstalker (Greece) and others.
“Considering that the Northern Revival last made the audience of this city crazy in 2019, we decided to organize their concert in Belgrade three years later.”explained the organizer of the event, Simona Kanjevac.
“Stoner is a specific genre for this area. It comes down to a few, not to mention a couple of organizations and individual clubs in Serbia that support this sound. These are, above all, places in Belgrade and Novi Sad. It’s a very narrow community, and the Northern Revival is a real treat in stoner and a significant part of that community. “reminds the PR of the Novi Sad band, Ana Bjes.
Stain continues where the grunge left off. This Belgrade quartet was founded in 2014. The band initially focused on playing hard rock and metal, but at the same time worked on creating original material. They are currently releasing singles and promoting them with live performances.
The first single and video “Spiral” were released last year, followed by three more singles – “OK”, “Fade” and “Faceless”. The last video was released for the song “Faceless”, which has had the highest response among the audience so far, both online and live.
“When this Belgrade band agreed to the date, we knew it would be a unique concert.”, explains the organizer in front of the Urban Muse Live Scenes production! and adds: “Stain and Northern Revival bind a unique sound.”
“We are glad that more and more work is being done to revive this part of the music scene.”, notes Ana Bjes. She reminds: “Every new event that recognizes stoner bands is important for our community. It has been expanding intensively lately. Bands from Serbia contribute to that by investing in quality music, which is why their performances are very popular. “
“For the concert spectacle, it was necessary to find no less iconic space. The choice fell on the stage of Elektropionir. There is a growing demand for tickets. Ticket reservations followed overnight. “explains Kanjevac.
The concert starts at 9 pm, and tickets for the price of 400 RSD can be purchased at the Anti Shop Elektropionir club on the day of the performance.
Eliminating prejudices, removing spells – it will happen at this unique event. Friday the 13th is a day everyone is talking about, and the Northern Revival and Stain concert will be a day that is yet to be talked about. DJ Feddy Kan, a guest of the bands, will be in charge of the atmosphere before and after the performance.
