Suara.com – Residents of Ketapang Hamlet, Kuta Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) are being stirred up by the mysterious death of dozens of cows. The location is known to be in the vicinity of the Mandalika Circuit construction project.
The owner of the buffalo who was at the location said, a total of 18 buffaloes died.
“From Wednesday there were those who died, Thursday there were also and last night. If the total is 18, the children are still small,” said the buffalo owner, Lalu Nure as quoted from Beritabali.com– Suara.com network.
Even so, he said, before the livestock died, his buffalo’s mouth could produce white foam.
“I don’t know why I can die like this, every day someone dies,” he said.
Meanwhile, from the records of the NTB Livestock and Animal Health Service, as of Friday (10/9/2021), 18 individuals have died suddenly.
The agency then conducted an examination and took samples of buffalo blood and saliva to be examined at the animal health laboratory in Bali.
“There were three samples from which we took samples, at first we wanted to take all of them, but it was difficult to communicate with the owners,” said Muslih, a veterinarian from the NTB Animal Husbandry and Health Service.
He stated that his party went down to the location because there were reports from yesterday.

“So we will take the existing sample to the lab and wait for the results to come out. Lab examinations are also available in Bali,” he explained.
He admitted, based on existing reports, at least 15 buffalo died not at the same time. Meanwhile, there are other buffalo who have been successfully given antibiotics.
“If left unchecked, it’s dangerous because it can infect other buffalo. Moreover, this is a cage,” he said.
From this incident, the doctor suspected that the buffalo that died suddenly had snoring disease or Epizootic septicemia (SE).
This infectious disease can only be transmitted to two animals, namely, cows and buffalo.
“If the poisoning is caused by waste, maybe it hasn’t led to that yet, because we talk based on the symptoms we see. The owner also said that this buffalo has been drinking water from bore wells all this time,” he explained.
Previously, a buffalo had gone viral on the Mandalika circuit. Not long ago, a number of 15 buffalo belonging to residents around the Mandalika Circuit died suddenly.
Many netizens suspected that after the news of the sudden death of a buffalo near this circuit went viral. Some suspect that it was deliberately poisoned, shortly after the viral “test buffalo paving the circuit track”.
