ColorOS 13 global version officially. What does it all bring and when is the update coming?

OPPO smartphones have been officially sold on the Slovak market for some time now. During this year, we even received the most equipped flagship model OPPO Find X5 Pro, which we had the opportunity to test. The manufacturer has now introduced the global version of the ColorOS 13 superstructure through a press release. It brings a new design, an intelligent environment and much more.

The new ColorOS 13 superstructure is based on the latest operating system Android 13, which was introduced only recently. It contains all the key functions of the new system from Google, and at the same time comes with a new “aquamorphic” design.

According to the manufacturer, the new design was inspired by nature. It creates a smooth, lively and understandable user interface. A wide range of themes is also new, and even such a small thing as the new system font, which improves the readability of the text, will please you.

There are also new styles of the Always On display, which has been named Homeland. It shows scenes of wild animals in nature. Animations on the Always On display reveal changes in the homes where the animals live, based on daily temperature changes, calling for attention to the changes in the Earth’s climate. Pleased that the refresh rate of the Always On display has been reduced to only 1 Hz, which significantly saves energy.

Improving performance and reducing energy consumption

The Dynamic Computing Engine is part of the superstructure. A solution that was developed by OPPO. Its role is to better plan hardware resources and use them when needed. The result should be a longer battery life. In addition, it helps keep more apps in the background, allowing you to switch between them faster without having to launch them repeatedly.

One of the biggest innovations is an improved user experience for multiple devices. The Multi-screen Connect function supports the connection between smartphone and OPPO Pad Air and between smartphone and computer.

ColorOS 13: Safety first

The new superstructure does not forget about user privacy, which is an increasingly important topic. In addition to the fact that all the privacy protection functions of the new Android 13 are integrated in the new superstructure, something extra has also been added. For example, the system deletes the history of the clipboard after a certain period of time, thus ensuring that no sensitive data is leaked.

The Nearby Wi-Fi feature will allow users to use a Wi-Fi network without revealing specific location information. Auto Pixelate can automatically detect and blur profile photos and names on chat screenshots with one tap.

A new private safe encrypted using the AES standard has also been added, which will ensure a high level of security.

ColorOS 13: When and for which smartphones?

The plans are quite bold. The manufacturer plans to update almost 35 of its models by the end of this year. It is supposed to be the most extensive update plan in the superstructure’s history. The update process will start with the most equipped models – OPPO Find X5 Pro and OPPO Find N. It will also arrive on other models at the beginning of next year.

The superstructure from OPPO is far from the only one. In addition to pure Android, which is very popular among users, we also have other quality add-ons. Samsung is currently working on One UI 5, which is currently coming in beta to this year’s and last year’s flagship models. Xiaomi is working on the MIUI 14 superstructure, we also have the EMUI superstructure from Huawei and the like. The competition is really strong, just choose what suits you best.
