‘Code 10’ travels to the swamp where Madeleine McCann is wanted

For the first time, Portuguese, German and British police have joined forces to search for the remains of Madeleine McCann in the Arade reservoirlocated 50 kilometers from Praia da Luz, where the little girl disappeared in 2007.

Madeleine was only three years old when she disappeared and to this day what happened to her remains unknown. The search has resumed in that swamp in a major international operation. ‘Code 10’ went to the place but also spoke with Francisco Marco, a private investigator who investigated there years ago.

“The Portuguese police are looking for more on the outside of the swamp. In the sandy part, which is where the German police have asked (…) In 2008 we were carrying out extensive searches. This gives us hope because if the German police have found clues that we found in 2008, perhaps that area could be the area where the solution is found after sixteen years”, explained the researcher.

Nacho Abad would then ask her what specifically they were looking for from Madeleine, such as the clothes she was wearing or some accessory. In this sense, Francisco Marco said that “Maddie was wearing pajamas, certain clothes that have never been mentioned in the media so that no one can say that she has seen it and I imagine that what they are looking for are skeletal remains“, he replied.
