The president of the PSD, Marcel Ciolacu, believes that any negotiation regarding the future Cabinet must be suspended until the requests of the unions are resolved, as well as the “major” backlog regarding the reform of special pensions.
“Since we entered the government, our priority has been the stability of the country and good governance, so that the Romanians and the Romanian economy can more easily overcome the multiple crises we are facing. It is clear that at this moment the agenda of Romanians no longer coincides with the political agenda, and I promised that I would never put political interests above the interests of Romanians. That’s why I think that, at this moment, the priority of all political decision-makers must be to solve the demands of the unions, but also the major backlog regarding the reform of special pensions. Until these two priorities are resolved, any negotiations regarding the future Cabinet must be suspended,” Ciolacu wrote on Facebook.
According to him, the Coalition has the duty to meet in the first place for the emergencies of the Romanians, and the future government program must provide for sustainable solutions and a clear deadline for the new salary law.
