A Chinese audition program starring actress Choo Ja-hyun (44) and former girl group f(x) member Amber (31) was embroiled in rumors of manipulation after only two episodes aired.

On the 18th (local time), local media announced, “The final debut list and the list of those who were eliminated from each episode of the China Mango TV entertainment program ‘Seungpung 2023’ (Season 4), which aired only two episodes, were released.”

The 11 people on the debut list included Korean actor Choo Ja-hyun and former f(x) member Amber. In addition, it was reported that the names of the performers who were eliminated at each stage were also written.

Amber and Choo Ja-hyun drew attention even before their appearance, ranking 5th and 11th in the pre-air polls, respectively. In the first episode, they ranked 2nd and 15th, respectively, and had an advantage until the finals.

‘Seungpung 2023’, in which the two appear, is an audition program that captures the process of 33 female celebrities over the age of 30 going through a singing and dancing contest to debut as a girl group. Because of its popularity in China, it was made up to 4 seasons. It was first broadcast on the 5th, but rumors of manipulation broke out after the second broadcast.

‘Seungpung 2023’ has also been rumored to be manipulated, saying, “There is a nominee” in the previous season, so Chinese viewers are said to be showing strong suspicions about the leak of this season’s roster.
