Netflix refreshed its offer at the end of last year. It is a special form of subscription package or a more affordable version. In exchange for a lower price, the user is shown advertisements during the playback of video content. According to the company, these ads should not be overly intrusive.

The cheapest subscription to classic Netflix is ​​currently 8.99 euros in Europe, but with the introduction of ads it has become slightly lower. For Netflix with advertisements, only 5.49 euros must be deducted. The duration of commercials is currently limited to just four minutes for every hour of video playback. In addition, there are various advertisements, which should at least slightly improve the user experience of users of the cheaper Netflix. Fortunately, commercials don’t run during your own content when it’s first made available to the public.

Apparently, the cheaper Netlix has already gained more than five million users worldwide. Netflix managed to achieve this in just the first six months of its official announcement. The average age of users who opt for a cheaper subscription is 34 years old. What is particularly interesting here is that a quarter of new subscribers are currently opting for the cheaper Netflix with advertising. This exceeded even the most optimistic forecasts. Therefore, experts are sure that Netflix will gradually introduce the new subscription in other countries around the world.
