IT service company CGI says he has appointed Marianna Saarisen as the new business leader in non-industry software. With the appointment, Saarinen will join CGI’s management team in Finland.
Previously, Saarinen has held several management positions at CGI and other international IT and consulting companies. In his new role, Saarinen will take over from CGI’s Central Government unit, where he has been responsible for services provided to the state administration.
“The unit led by Marianna Saarinen produces software and related services all over Finland for both companies and public sector customers. Many solutions are very critical to the operations of companies and society, so the responsibility is great, ”says CGI Finland’s CEO Leena-Mari Lähteenmaa says in a press release.
CGI would like to point out that after this appointment, 38% of CGI Finland’s top management are women. In total, women make up 36 per cent of CGI Finland’s employees, which is well above the technology sector’s 22 per cent average.
