Canon expands portfolio – Canon Europe

Wishing to customers help to increase material production efficiency, Canon Europe today adds two line solutions for third-party finishing to its portfolio – the SDD PTM7006 Press Trim booklet trimming module and the GBC eWIRE Pro in-line wire binding device.

Exclusive to Canon, the SDD PTM7006 Press Trim Module can be connected in-line to the Canon imagePRESS C910 or varioPRINT 140 series printer, enabling fast production of brochures and instructions in one optimized operation, without additional handling or finishing steps. By trimming the longer edge of booklets up to 6 mm thick, this module also flattens the ribs to give a superior, professional look and to facilitate packaging, stacking and distribution. Customers can choose from two more options to further improve the quality of the brochure – a double-sided trimmer for edge-to-edge printing applications and a square folding module to get a completely square rivet.

Canon is expanding its portfolioGBC eWIRE Pro integrates perfectly with the Canon imagePRESS C910, imagePRESS C10010VP series and varioPRINT 140 series for monochrome digital printing to provide a fully automated process for the production of double-loop wire-bound brochures. This allows even smaller printing presses to eliminate the bottleneck of manual double-loop wire and deliver accurate, professionally used documents each time.
