A large quantity of Indian drugs wrapped in sacks was found while drying clothes on the roof of a house in Madhabpur, Habiganj. Later, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) reached the spot at around 12 noon after receiving information through a people’s representative.

The incident took place on Wednesday (February 18) morning. The BGB seized 490 bottles of Indian Phensidyl and 10 kg of cannabis from the spot.

It is learned that Yunus Ali went to dry his clothes on the roof of his building in Alabai village of Dharmaghar union of Madhabpur upazila in the morning. He then informed the local UP member about the abandoned roof of his house and brother Ayat Ali’s house. Upon receiving the news, BGB member Alabai along with Subedar Abdul Hamid of Dharmaghar BGB camp recovered the drugs.

Habiganj 55 BGB Captain (CO) Lt. Colonel Samiunnabi Chowdhury confirmed the truth.
