The solar panel made of used cans that is used for heating the air, is a product that students from Nis High School “Bora Stankovic” will present at the entrepreneurship competition, and the goal of this student company consisting of five young enthusiasts is to bring these panels to life on the market. reducing air pollution in the city.

The student company “EkoLim” consists of first grade students, and they state that they found inspiration for this product in the everyday life of young people who use thousands of cans a day, as well as data that Nis is a city with polluted air and that one of the main causes is that many use solid fuel heating.

We wanted to make something that is not expensive and that will motivate people to change the way of heating. Realizing the financial situation of the people in our country, we decided to offer a cheaper, yet useful product to people who are not able to buy an ordinary solar panel – say the students.

Guided by the idea of renewable development, as well as the fact that cans take more than 200 years to decompose, as well as thinking and researching alternative ways of heating, these students, they say, came up with the idea of making solar panels from recycled cans.

Numerous industries in the world produce panels made of cans, but in our country such a product cannot be found. That is why we have decided to promote a panel of cans that uses solar energy for heating at the upcoming entrepreneurship competition – says Kaja Gavrilović, spokesperson for the company “EkoLim”.

These young people say that environmental pollution is a big problem that must be solved by several generations together.

Our target group is all those who want to reduce heating costs, as well as households that are not connected to the remote system, and that amounts to about 75 percent of all households in Serbia. We want to make our planet a better place to live – these young enthusiasts emphasize.
The production of the panel is in progress, and the product will be presented to the commission at the competition in entrepreneurship, which is being held online this year.
