Calculations of the U-22 Indonesian National Team to Pass to the Semifinals of the 2023 SEA Games

Suara.com – Following are the calculations for the U-22 Indonesian National Team to qualify for the semifinals of the 2023 SEA Games. The chances for Indra Sjafri’s troops to advance to the knockout phase are very large following satisfactory results on the first two matchdays.

The U-22 Indonesian National Team is the team from Group A that has the most chance of advancing to the semi-finals of the biennial Southeast Asian multi-event.

This was after they won 3-0 over the Philippines and then crushed Myanmar with a score of 5-0 in the second matchday, Thursday (4/5/2023) afternoon WIB.

Impressive results in the first two matches made the Red and White team temporarily top Group A with a collection of six points with a goal difference of +8.

On the other hand, the Philippines is the only team that has been eliminated from Group A. They have appeared three times but have only collected one point. By leaving one match, their maximum points are only four.

Referring to the standings, the Indonesian national team will certainly qualify for the semifinals of the 2023 SEA Games if they manage to beat Timor Leste U-22 on the third matchday of Group A which is scheduled to take place on Sunday (7/5/2023).
