Cabify launches its bike subscription service in Valencia

Bive, the bicycle subscription service promoted by the Cabify company and which it integrates into its mobile application (app), begins to operate in Valencia, together with the Valencian startup Tuvalum, as a new alternative for sustainable travel that avoids the use of car.

Thanks to Bive, users have the vehicle they own with the payment of a monthly fee from 29.95 euros -depending on the selected bicycle model- including annual maintenance, different types of insurance, including theft, and discounts for move in Cabify.

Subscribers to the new Cabify service will be able to test and collect their bicycles at the premises of Tuvalum, as well as fix damages or put their vehicles at no cost, the multimobility company reported in a statement, which presented this new service on Monday .

As explained, Bive is integrated into the Cabify app with the “Pedal” section on the bottom bar, where users can rent a long-term bike in just six clicks; Valencia becomes the second city in which it operates after its launch in Madrid.

Valencia users will be able to purchase three different models of bicycles, two of them electric, among which the Bive Chamber model stands out, and a folding one, the BH Ibiza Pro.

Born in September 2020, Bive aims to reduce the number of private cars in cities, promoting the use of bicycles as a sustainable mobility option, which reduces emissions and improves the quality of life of citizens, according to the same sources. .

The integration in the Cabify app allows the user to take advantage of their account on this platform to start using Bive and in this way, Cabify complements its multimodal offer with a long-term rental option of a bicycle through its app available for the moment in Madrid and Valencia.

For Bive’s head of operations, Marta de Eusebio, “the bicycle is one of the pillars that sustains the transformation of mobility in cities, and at Bive we want to accompany this change.”

Regarding the expansion of the service, he explained that Valencia “is a city that has a strong commitment to cycling and where the orography of the terrain and the climate favor this type of travel.”
