LONDON – British luxury car manufacturer Jaguar has announced that by 2025, as part of a plan to stop production of internal combustion engines, all models will be electrically powered.
The Jaguar Land Rover company, owned by the Indian conglomerate Tata Motors, hopes that this plan will contribute to overcoming the crisis and market recovery of the Jaguar luxury car brand, which has existed for 86 years.
The transition to the production of electric vehicles means that the factory in Castle Bromwich, not far from Birmingham, will move to the neighboring Solihull, reports AP.
The decision was hailed by British Transport Minister Grant Sheps as “a big step for the British car industry”. Tanjug
