On Friday, June 4, the event of the Distinguished Visitors Day (DV DAY) of the multinational exercise “STRIKE BACK-21” took place in Koren (Korin Training Area-KTA) of Bulgaria. The exercise is held from May 24 to 21 and ended yesterday, June 7 with the participation of the Greek side of divisions of the XXV Armored Brigade (XXV TTT “2nd Cavalry Regiment – Ephesus”) and the 1st Brigade of the Army Air Force (1st TAXA Army) from the Bulgarian side of the 31 MECH BDE and from the Romanian side of a Light Infantry Squad.
“STRIKE BACK-21” is part of Exercise “SABER GUARDIAN 21”, includes training in offensive operations and is a Regular Exercise After Troops (LIVEX) with real fire (LFX), level of Regular Motorized Infantry Battalion.
The Day of Distinguished Visitors was attended by the Ambassador of Greece to Bulgaria Mr. Dimitrios Chronopoulos, the Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousis as a representative of the Chief of General Staff and the Commander of the General Staff of the Army ” Commander of the European-African Forces (USAREUR-AF) General Christopher G. Cavoli, on the Bulgarian side the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, the Minister of Defense, Georgi Panayotov, the Chief of Defense, Admiral Emila Dft Forces, Lieutenant General Lyubcho Todorov, the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mihail Dimitrov Popov and from the Romanian side the Chief of General Staff of Romania, Lieutenant General Daniel Petrescu.
The perfect organization, training and operational readiness of the participating departments was noted, as well as the excellent level of cooperation between the Units of the participating Countries. According to information from enikos.gr, once again the show was stolen by the crews of the Greek LEO 2HEL, who particularly impressed the American General Christopher G. Cavoli.
