Bulgaria will extend the green certificate to all people with a certain level of neutralizing antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 in their blood, Bulgarian Health Minister Stoycho Katsarov said on Tuesday.
The authorities are thus responding to requests from several groups of citizens dissatisfied with the restrictions imposed to reduce the virulent wave of the Bulgarian pandemic, with a record number of hospitalizations and deaths, according to EFE.
Access to closed public spaces requires a green COVID certificate, which until now was issued to those who were completely vaccinated, who had passed through the disease or had a negative result in a recent test.
As of Thursday, the document that opens the doors of places and museums can also be obtained by those who can prove by a blood test that they have an IgG antibody level of at least 150 BAU / ml.
The document will be valid for 90 days, the minister said.
The authorities hope to obtain information on the number of people who transmitted COVID without symptoms or without being officially registered.
Bulgaria has recorded 334 deaths caused by COVID in the last 24 hours, the highest daily number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
