Brotherhood: Calling up old cases to issue harsh sentences confirms the confusion and criminality of the coup authority

The Muslim Brotherhood issued a statement denouncing the decision of the First Extraordinary Chamber, headed by Military Judge Muhammad Al-Saeed Al-Sherbiny, to refer the papers of Dr. Muhammad Badi’, the General Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, and 7 others in the comic case known in the media as “the events of the platform” to the Mufti of the coup.

In its statement, the group confirmed, through the acting general guide of the group, Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, that the decision came in the context of continuous attempts to terrorize the Egyptian people and that it is a new crime added to the crimes of the coup authority and its black record.

The statement stressed that the attempt of the coup authority to escalate during the recent period, through the expansion of arrests and systematic killing inside the cells and the denial of treatment for the detainees, in addition to summoning old cases to issue harsh sentences that will not intimidate the free people, but rather confirms the state of confusion that the coup authority suffers from under the weight of failure. Completely in bringing about any case of success in the administration of the state.

The statement also emphasized that these rulings and those criminal practices will only increase the group’s adherence to the right and steadfastness on the principle, and will not affect the group’s positions or its steadfast leadership, but rather increase its certainty about the approaching dawn and the end of this black era in Egypt’s history.
