It was on 15 November 2020 that the now convicted man, who is in his 30s, smashed twelve windows and windows for two entrance doors to Västberga police station in southern Stockholm.

He could easily be arrested at the entrance. A police officer who was present at the arrest stated that the man then said something along the lines of “this is for Östberga”.

However, the man, who has Finnish credentials, did not want to feel this.

“I was just drunk,” he replied in interrogation.

According to the district court, it is clear that the now convicted man attacked and disrupted police activities through his actions. The man is also convicted of four cases of vandalism for breaking windows on cars in Älvsjö on the same day.

The man must pay damages to the Police Authority of approximately SEK 174,000.

The crime of sabotage against blue light activities was introduced in the Criminal Code on 1 January 2020.
