The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, stated today that after two mass murders, there is, as she said, a direct attempt to destabilize Serbia by foreign services and reiterated that there will be no change of government in Serbia without elections.
Brnabić, at the session of the Serbian Parliament where the security situation is discussed, also said that they did not have a single dissenting position at the Government session, and not that anyone left the session.
– I am telling the citizens of Serbia not to believe in lies, misinformation and attempts to create chaos in Serbia by foreign services. This is all that is happening directly from foreign services, all that is happening is the direct destabilization of Serbia – said the Prime Minister.
She emphasized that her words would not be taken out of context, that she was not talking about tragedies, but everything that happened after the tragedies.
– And that is getting stronger every day. The fact that Ivica Dacic left the Government session can only be promoted by someone who wants to destabilize Serbia. Such a blatant lie can only be spread by someone who wants to destabilize Serbia. That is an easily verifiable lie – pointed out Brnabić.
She added that the second thing, which, as she said, she repeated at least 20 times yesterday and today is that the government in Serbia will change only by the will of the citizens in elections.
– There will be no Maidan, the government will not change on the street and elections are the only mechanism, and we will not stick to our positions and resignations are the least of the problems. Yes, we can go to elections, but it will not be allowed to change the government without elections – said the Prime Minister.
According to some media reports, the president of the Socialist Party of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, left the Government session due to disagreements over some issues.
Dacic told Tanjug that some media have been publishing “lies for days with the aim of bringing confusion to the meeting on May 26” and that this party, together with its coalition partners United Serbia and the Greens of Serbia, will participate in the rally.
