Bowers Wilkins launches Music App, a new application to control music playback on your connected speakers

Bowers & Wilkins wants to continue improving and expanding its ecosystem of connected speakers and sound equipment under the name Formation, a range of speakers and amplifiers designed to mount a multiroom sound system at home with one or more devices distributed in different rooms and controlled from a single place.

Formation initially consists of five devices: the Duo training, Wedge training, Bar training, Bass training and Audio training, all of them with a beautiful design, compatible with AirPlay 2 and with its own wireless communication system that keeps the audio synchronized with a delay time of less than 1 ms. The speakers are compatible with Spotify Connect, Bluetooth aptX and support audio tracks up to 96 KHz y 24 bits.

Now the manufacturer has decided to launch a new application for control and access to music services that we can use if we have one of these compatible devices, which is already available for download with some basic functionalities that will evolve over the months.

Under the name of Music App we are facing a software available for terminals iOS Y Android from which we can stream music of up to 24 bits and 96 KHz to the speakers from sites like Tidal, TuneIn, Dash Radio, NTS Radio o SoundCloud, with more services that will be added later.

Until now we had the basic Home application that allowed us to install and configure the Formation speakers, a function that also it will be progressively integrated in Music App so that we can do everything from one place.

As for the interface, it is simple both in functions and visually, allowing browse albums, tracks, song lists, and radio stations with content that the manufacturer will also recommend to offer us a more personalized experience.
