Borsa İstanbul 100 index started the day at 1.558.03 points with an increase of 0.48 percent.

At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose to 1.558.03 points, gaining 7.42 points and 0.48 percent compared to the previous close. The banking index gained 0.59 percent and the holding index gained 0.36 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing and factoring gained the most with 4.03 percent, and electricity was the highest with 1.61 percent.

BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, which followed a course with sellers yesterday, closed the day at 1,550.61 points with a 0.62 percent decrease compared to the previous close.

Analysts said that despite the positive news flow regarding the stimulus package in the US, the increase in commodity prices and bond yields has demolished optimism on a global basis.

Today, analysts stated that the data calendar in Turkey is calm, and abroad, in addition to the presentation of US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell’s Monetary Policy Report, inflation in the Euro Area and the consumer confidence index in the US will be followed, technically speaking, 1.570 in the BIST 100 index. and 1.582 levels indicated resistance and 1.525 points in support.
