In a statement, the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) states that the process starts on December 5th and will continue on December 8th and on the following Sundays, December 12th and 19th.

“For this purpose, users will be called by SMS, and must wait for this call. Users who are not called for December 5 must wait for the call for the other days of vaccination”, says the DGS in the press release.

The DGS also clarifies the situations of concentrations in the vaccination centers against covid-19 in Lisbon, asking users to “respect the information contained in the SMS with an appointment for FIL-Pavilhão 4 (EXPO – Parque das Nações).

After it was announced last week that people aged 18 and over who received Janssen’s covid-19 vaccine will be able to receive a booster dose 90 days after administering the first one, DGS said that this new dose would be about one million people eligible.

On November 24, the Deputy Secretary of State and Health, António Lacerda Sales,??? he had explained that there are more than 250,000 people over 50 in these circumstances, with the remainder being progressively scheduled by age group until January.
